Happy Canada Day!
I'd like to wish a Happy Canada Day to all Canadians, and a happy 4th of July to all my American friends. I hope everyone enjoys their celebrations, and that you all stay safe.
So far we've had a very nice Canada Day weekend here. The weather is a lot hotter than I'd like, but I know there are a lot of people who are thrilled with it. Last night I left work early (as I had gone in early) and came home to find out that my brother-in-law had decided to haul all the old furniture out. It's nice to get it out of here, but man was I sore from all that! Today Judy and I decided to take advantage of the long weekend and head out to the flea market. We haven't gone there for ages, so we really had a great time wandering around, in spite of the heat. We also made a quick stop at the new Goodwill store that recently opened in our area. I must admit that I am even more sore after all that, but it's well worth it to have the furniture out, and to have had a fun day of excursions!
I didn't buy a lot of stuff at the flea market, but I did get a couple of little treasures. I got a nice little sandalwood fan - much sturdier than the usual paper ones - and a lovely little CorningWare casserole. It's quite small, and was only $6.00. I've never seen one that size before, so it was a nice addition to my collection. At Goodwill, Judy spotted another Corningware piece, and it was only $3.99. I've been wanting this particular piece for a long time, but it's usually $25.00 or more, and I was not willing to pay that much for it. So I snapped it up pronto at $3.99!
So we had a fun day, and tonight I am just relaxing and will likely watch a movie or two, since I picked up some cheap ones last weekend. Oh, and I'm also enjoying my new computer stand. I got it set up last night, thanks to some help from Judy, and I'm quite pleased with it.
Yes, that's one of my own dandelion pictures as a screensaver. Said screensaver is on Judy's old monitor, which I'm also enjoying. Mine has gotten too dark, so it's time for a new one, and she kindly lent me hers until I get one. Thanks, Judy!
I don't have much else to natter about this evening, so I shall wish you all a good night. Celebrate safely, and enjoy!

Hey, nice stuff! :-) I'm glad we had our excursion day, I too am sore from furniture hauling (because hubby and I also hauled couches around up here) and today I shall NAP! Nap, I tell you!! LOL
Hey! I remember those Corningware casseroles that size! My mom had a whole collection of them! Hmmm... wonder where they be...
Love the computer desk...very cool!
Happy Canada Day!!!
Thanks, ladies! That's neat that your Mom had ones that size, Brooke. I've never seen one that small - I have some small ones, but they're a little bigger than that. The petite pans are very tiny - smaller than this one, but other than those, I haven't come across a regular casserole that small.
I'm enjoying the computer desk, although it's taking a bit of getting used to. The keyboard tray's cramped compared to the set up I had before, and the monitor is closer than I'd like. But I'm planning on getting a flat-panel monitor, so that will solve that problem.
Have a good day, ladies!
Judy rocks:)
I have never called her that, LOL.
Hi Lex! Thanks for stopping by! And yes, Judy does rock! ;)
