Ooga Booga!

Okay, I believe I've mentioned in my profile that I'm a medium, which basically boils down to the fact that I spend a fair bit of time talking to and dealing with spirits. There are always spirits around the house - mainly family members and friends who have passed on. This is wonderful, in my view, and I'd be very disturbed if there weren't any here.

However, there are spirits around everywhere - not just in the house - which is also just fine by me. We have one at work who I must admit tends to amuse me now and again, and he just pulled another prank yesterday.

I guess a bit of background might be in order though. It wasn't long after I started with this company that I thought we had a spirit around. And that was confirmed when I was there alone after hours, and would hear someone moving around the office - sometimes downstairs where my office is, but most often upstairs. I could hear someone walking around, sometimes dropping things, and also dragging things. I could also feel a presence quite often out in the back bay - and I would also hear noises coming from there. So I sat down and tuned in one day, and found that yes there was a male spirit around. Cool, not a problem.

He never did much besides make noises and make his presence felt, until one day awhile back. A co-worker and I were out in the back bay having a smoke break, and the boss came in to use the washroom (the men's washroom is in the back bay). He left, and my co-worker and continued chatting. Suddenly we heard water running, and I figured someone was in the kitchen (on the other side of the wall from the men's washroom)and had turned the tap on. But the water kept running, and it sounded a bit too loud to be in the kitchen. So I went to open the door and check it out, then realized that the noise was coming from the men's washroom. The hot water tap had been turned on full blast, and was merrily gushing away. Now, we knew that the boss hadn't left the tap running, as we had actually heard it come on several minutes after he had left. And we knew that no one had gone in there after he did - no one human, at any rate!

The funniest part was that one of the other guys had to use the washroom shortly afterwards - and I had told him about our ghostly friend. He came out of the washroom and was laughing quite hard - he said that when he was washing his hands, a bunch of water suddenly came splashing out of the sink at him. He had a couple of quite wet spots on his shirt and pants from it. Startled the heck out of him, and there was no reason for it to have happened normally. He also proceeded to tell me that he'd come in to work a few times and found the tap in the men's washroom blasting away at full force. He just figured someone must have used it after work and forgot to turn it off, but we now suspect that is not the case.

Anyhow, that's the background on him - on to yesterday's episode! Once again, our little friend chose the men's washroom to play in. I was out back having a smoke break, and two of the field guys were there chatting with me. They had come in about 15 minutes earlier, and one of them had used the washroom then. After that, no one else had gone in there. As we were standing there chatting, we heard a loud bang - something had fallen. We all looked around trying to find out what it was, and suddenly I felt that I should check the bathroom. So in I went, and didn't notice anything unusual, until one of the guys came in behind me and said "oh, the toilet seat fell down." The one who had last used the washroom confirmed that it had not been down when he left - although as I pointed out to them, it's a men's washroom - it's not likely the seat would have been down! ROTFL

Anyhow... I felt that this was our ghostie playing tricks, but I didn't say anything to the guys. Although it was amusing watching their reactions. I think they were thinking along the same lines that I was - "If the seat was going to fall after the one guy had used the washroom, why would it have taken 15 minutes to do so?" Of course, it's possible that it could have simply been a coincidence, but I did feel that it was my little friend, and he's been a bit more active with the noises and stuff lately, so... At any rate, it was rather amusing, and as usual I can't wait to see what he does next!

Your "friend" seems to love playing pranks, particularly on the men in your office. I'd bet money he was a jokester in life here too! Of course, (another post perhaps?) I also know you've had "friends" in other offices you've worked in too...... some would maybe think they follow you around, but we know that's not the case at all....they are everywhere if we all just take notice. I love knowing how close to us they all are.

Great post sis!

Wow!!! He sure seems to like the Men's can!! Pretty neat. I haven't had the experiences you guys have, of course, but a few nontheless. That hand thing the night Mom died was the only in your face experience I've ever had, other than the dog one.
Oh well, as long as they're good experiences, that's the main thing. Love You Lots!!!!!
