A Beautiful Night

It is a beautiful night here. A nice cool wind is blowing, the odd flash of lightning brightens the sky, and all is fairly quiet. I am enjoying this cooler weather so much, and I am so relieved that we haven't ended up with the endless hot weather that had been forecast in the spring. It's still pretty toasty out there during the day, but at least we've had some cooler breezes, and a few days of cooler temperatures, to help us get through the season.

It was reasonably nice this morning too, so I wandered out with my camera, hoping to get some video of some other birds. Of course they were all playing somewhere else - I think they knew I was looking for them! Since I had no birds to play with, I decided to get a couple more videos of the girls. That little adventure was swiftly curtailed when a rather large and curious bee decided to check me and my camera out. I didn't get the bee on video, nor did I attempt to try. I was more concerned with getting away from it than asking it to say cheese. I decided to transfer the video to the computer, and I had to giggle when I got to the end. I figured it would at least give Judy a chuckle, if no one else, so here it is - the Bee Attack video!

Bee Attack!

A little while after I had posted my last blog entry, I happened to look out my window to see a beautiful sight. There had been a rain storm, and just as the sun was setting, the clouds began to break in the west. The neighbour's trees looked gorgeous - grey storm clouds behind them, and the setting sun lighting them up on the sides. It was still drizzling a bit, but I just had to run out and get a picture. I was quite pleased with how it turned out, so thought I'd share it with you.

Sunset on the Trees

I don't really have much else to natter about tonight. I'm just about to head to bed, so I shall wish you all a good night, and sweet dreams!

I love that picture too - it's fast becoming one of my favourites. I knew the video would make you laugh, and I have no idea what sound I made. I'm sure I made several sounds, and no doubt turned the air a bit blue too.
