Autumn's Coming!

Autumn's coming! Autumn's coming! See? The leaves are turning!

Autumn Leaf

They've been turning for a little over a week, but I just spotted that little guy on the ground out back, so figured I'd snap a picture to preserve him for posterity!

I am so happy that autumn's on the way. It's my favourite time of year to start with, and it's already much cooler out in the evenings, which is helpful when it's hotter than blazes during the day. So I'm feeling better, and have a bit more energy.

I'm also doing a ton of housecleaning right now - finally getting this place straightened up! I've been cleaning like crazy, but have been very baffled as to where I was getting the energy from. Then the other night I remembered that I had done a spell awhile back to give myself the energy to get some work done in the house. I'd forgotten all about it. I'm pleased to see that it's kicking in, though!

In light of this housework roll that I'm on, this is going to be a short entry. I just had some other pictures I've wanted to post, but Blogger has not been cooperative with that in the last week. Every time I've tried to post them, it hasn't worked. I thought I'd give it a shot again this morning, and was very happy when the pictures uploaded!

These first ones are of a gorgeous sunset that I caught the tail end of a week or so ago:

These are another sunset, a few days later. A storm was rolling in, and created this wonderful picture in the sky.

These were taken just the other night. I wandered out with the dogs, spotted this beautiful sky, and had to run back in for the camera!

That's it for today! I hope you enjoyed the pictures, and now I'm off to do some more cleaning. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Oh, what beautiful pictures!!!!!! And I LOVE how you got your copyright on them! That is too cool!!!!!! Did you do that thru PhotoShop???

I love fall, also. It hasn't started here yet...but I am looking forward to it. It also doesn't last very long here, so I treasure each day of it. Even the air smells differently!

Glad you are feeling better... and...gimme my Cleaning Genie back!!!!!!!!! Jude....make your bratty sister gimme back my Cleaning Genie she sneakily stole... It's just not nice! I thought you girls were raised better than that. Honestly...swiping a person's Cleaning Genie...how low can ya get!

Argh! I typed out a reply, and then Blogger had a hissy fit and wouldn't post it!

Anyhow...I TOLD you I don't have your Genie! I have my own. Yours is sleeping his ass off in a corner somewhere. You just have to find him and wake him up!

The air does smell different in autumn. Crisp, clean, with an earthy, tangy scent to it. Yum!

I'm glad you liked the pictures - those sunsets were gorgeous, so I'm glad I managed to catch the tail ends of them. I love that style of copyright, as it's transparent so it doesn't interfere with the picture.

I made it in Paint Shop Pro, but I expect you could also do it in Photo Shop. I just don't know what the steps would be, as I've never used Photo Shop before. A friend of mine sent me a link for a tutorial, but it didn't work well - it only worked on pictures with one light background colour - add trees or anything dark in the mix and it couldn't be seen. So then she wrote up a tutorial of her own, with the exact steps that she uses herself, and it worked like a charm!

Have a good day, Brooke - and go find that Genie of yours!

Dang Brooke I'm sorry, but I guess Pam wasn't brought up as well as I was then???? **ducks and runs for cover**

Seriously sis, I'm really glad to hear your spell has been working... isn't it funny how those, and prayer, seem to work so much better when we've forgotten about it?? By the way your kitchen is looking fab, dahlink!

Love the pics! Hey, it's funny but I just took a pic of a leaf on the ground out back this morning, I wonder if it's the same one? ROTF!

Come ON, autumn!!!

Pfft. You'd better duck and run, Judy! LOL!

Thanks - I'm pleased with the kitchen too, and you should see the bathroom. Hardly recognizable! I'm not pleased that I didn't get anything done today, but I guess I needed to take a break for a day. I'll be back at it again tomorrow!

I don't know if it's the same leaf - mine was out in the dog run. It would be funny if it was though!

Beautiful pics, Sis. Yes, I am also a Fall freak!! Minus the aphids and the wasps, of course!! Well you must take pics of your kitchen, etc. since I am not there to see them. Hopefully at Xmas, if I don't end up in Ituna first. (Doubtful). Take care, my dear, and be good!! Love you lots!!

Thanks, Linda! Yes, definitely minus the aphids and wasps. I haven't seen very many wasps around the house, but we have a ton of them at work. It's the reverse with the aphids - tons of them at home, very few at work.

Love you lots too, and you take care as well. I hope the kids have a good trip!
